The Grand Marshal of the Chico Parade of Lights is the most prestigious honor of this beloved Chico tradition. Each year, this title is awarded to a community leader whose vision, service, and dedication have left a lasting mark on our city. From among many remarkable nominees, the Grand Marshal is chosen to symbolize the very best of Chico’s spirit — unity, generosity, and leadership.
To be named Grand Marshal of the Chico Parade of Lights is more than leading the parade. It is to be recognized as a beacon of light for our community, someone who inspires others, uplifts families, and strengthens the bonds that make Chico shine. The Grand Marshal reflects the heart of the parade itself: honoring our town, celebrating togetherness, and carrying forward a tradition of pride and community spirit for generations to come.
