This year marks Chico Parade of Lights' 30th annual celebration! Our theme this year is "Move to the Music!" Come have fun by being a part of the Chico Parade of Lights on Sat, October 5, 2019 at 7:00pm in Downtown Chico!

We'll also have pre-parade events starting at 6pm near the downtown plaza: tricycle races, bed races, handcycle challenge and more!

Parade of Lights 2012
The 2019 30th annual Chico Parade of Lights theme “Move to the Music” invites you to celebrate everything related to music!

Entries can highlight songs, musicians, singers, bands, musical genres, musical eras, musical instruments, musical theater or movies, dance moves, or anything else related to music!

And of course, as many lights as possible!

Note: You can't use too many lights! Lights should be your #1 focus on you and your entry. Make your entry entertaining and bright for the spectators along the parade route.

There will not be a single judging stand; parade judges will be stationed at various points along the parade route. Entries must keep moving during the parade to prevent back-ups and uneven spacing of the entries along the parade route.

Come join the celebration – joining together as a community and enjoying the magic of a brilliant light parade!

For questions please call (530) 892-2923 or email, or on Facebook at Chico Parade of Lights.
